Futbol For Kids and Foster Soccer are excited to announce a trip to Cusco, Peru in March 2018.
While in Peru, we will team up with a local tour operator to donate soccer balls and provide soccer clinics for kids.
During the trip we will travel to multiple remote villages, stay with local families and distribute over 200 soccer balls and set up day-long clinics.
What makes this trip so special is that we’re helping the families of the porters who support the thousands of hikers who travel to Machu Picchu each year.
While much is known about Machu Picchu, little is known about the thousands of porters who each carry 50LBS of equipment for the hikers – sleeping tents, dining tents, kitchen tents, tables, chairs, stoves, gas bottles water and food.
Sadly, many of the porters live in extreme poverty and have to leave their families to work on the Inca Trail. Many do not get a fare wage and are forced to take whatever income they can to survive.
So a local tour operator who wants to also give back to the porters and their families asked if we could travel to Peru to help. It was an easy decision!
By joining forces we’re excited to put this amazing trip together so we can help the families and arrange soccer clinics for kids, their families and support the porters for doing an amazing tough job!
To make this trip possible we’re looking for your support to raise $10,000.
Our goal is to donate over 200 soccer balls and 100 solar powered lanterns. At each village we will also leave behind for the kid’s additional soccer balls, mini-goals, soccer cones, soccer bibs and t-shirts.
We will also donate basic medical supplies – Tooth Brushes, Band-Aids etc.… as well as school supplies such as note-pads, pencils, markers, crayons etc…
Stay tuned for more details and contact us for more information.
